High Protein Ahi Steak

Ahi tuna is high in protein and low in fat, which makes it the perfect base for a healthy meal. Add a side of roasted asparagus to make a delicious and well balanced dinner.

  • 2 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 4 Tablespoons cilantro, minced
  • dash of salt and pepper
  • 8 (6oz) ahi tuna steaks


  1. In a large re-sealable plastic bag combine all the ingredients but the tuna steaks; mix well.

  2. Add tuna to the marinade, cover and refrigerate for 1-1/2 hours, turning once.

  3. Drain and discard marinade. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

  4. Place the tuna in a glass pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Turn the steaks and bake for another 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
